Crafted From the First Spring Flush

Only the earliest leaves of the season are used in this matcha, selected at their peak when they carry the highest concentration of sweetness and amino acids.

After several weeks of shading, the leaves are processed into tencha and stone-milled in small batches to preserve their delicate fragrance and flavour.

This slow, traditional approach is what gives this Okumidori matcha its calm, harmonious profile.

Limited Organic Production Each Year

Because organic single-cultivar matcha requires extensive time and labour, only a small amount of Okumidori is produced annually in Wazuka.

Once this seasonal batch sells out, it can’t be restocked until the following spring harvest.
