It depends on the grade and the packaging. Most private-label formats are packed by our packing partner, with a minimum of 100 units per format (screw-cap can, pull-ring can, gusset or zip pouch). Some grades are packed at the farm, where the minimum is 33 units, usually in screw-cap cans and for a few grades in pull-ring cans. If you apply your own packaging, bulk 1 kg bags start at 1 kg. We confirm the minimum for your grade and format when we quote; the packaging options for each grade are on the wholesale price list.

It depends on the product. Grades held in stock as 1 kg bags ship within two days of payment. Packed and labeled orders usually take 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the size of the order and the time of year: during the spring harvest the farms are in the fields all day, and the run-up to Christmas is busy with brands stocking their stores, so lead times stretch. We quote a lead time when you order. Please don’t set a launch date that depends on a tight delivery; lead times are outside our control and can vary.

We offer a range of packaging formats for retail and private-label needs. Matcha can be supplied ready for retail sale in cans or pouches, or packed in bulk bags for brands that apply their own packaging. The packaging options for each grade are listed on our wholesale price list.

We send you label templates for your chosen packaging, collect your designs, and arrange the printing and labeling. We’ll tell you whether the JAS organic logo can appear on your product. Labeling requirements differ from country to country, and meeting them is your responsibility as the seller. We’re glad to advise and help, but our advice isn’t legal advice.

We provide JAS organic certificates for our certified organic range and certificates of analysis from previous testing on request. We don’t hold USDA or EU organic labels. We can also obtain official export documents on request, including Certificates of Origin, Health Certificates and Phytosanitary Certificates.

Yes. Add grades to your sample list on the price list and we invoice you. Most samples are 800 JPY each; a few top grades cost a little more. They ship by DHL and arrive in 2 to 4 days. Sample shipping to the US runs around 5,500 JPY and is usually similar or less to Europe.

Payment is upfront. We invoice in Japanese yen and prefer a bank transfer to our Wise account, which also accepts most other currencies. Card and PayPal are available with a 4% transaction fee.

Yes, for VAT-registered businesses in the EU and UK (other countries on request). Give us your VAT and EORI numbers, and we’ll add a flat DDP charge to your order that covers duty and customs handling. Import VAT isn’t charged by us; you account for it on your VAT return as usual. Private customers and businesses without a VAT number receive DAP shipping, where the courier collects any import charges on delivery.

Your VAT number and EORI number, exactly as registered. We verify both before shipping. If customs in your country collect import VAT at the border from registered businesses (e.g. the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany without a deferment licence), we’ll tell you beforehand and pass it on at cost.
