Everyday Matcha for Daily Drinking

This organic Uji matcha is designed as an everyday matcha that delivers ceremonial grade quality without being overly delicate or difficult to prepare. The matcha powder blends easily with warm water or hot water, whisks smoothly with a bamboo whisk, and remains forgiving for consistent daily use.

Many matcha lovers enjoy this style for:

• daily bowls of thin tea (usucha)

• matcha lattes at home

• iced matcha in warmer months

• smoothies and blended drinks

• simple recipes where clean green tea flavor matters

Its smooth flavor profile allows it to move comfortably between traditional preparations and modern matcha recipes.

Ceremonial Grade Matcha vs Culinary Grade Matcha

Although the terms ceremonial grade matcha and culinary grade matcha are not regulated, this organic Uji matcha is produced to ceremonial standards. It is made from first harvest leaf, shade grown tea plants, and stone milling focused on drinking quality.

Unlike typical culinary grade matcha, this matcha powder is:

• brighter in color

• smoother on the palate

• lower in bitterness

• suitable for whisked preparation without masking flavors

While culinary grade matcha is often used for baked goods, this ceremonial matcha can be enjoyed as a drink while still performing well in lattes, smoothies, and light recipes.

Organic Green Tea Powder with Functional Benefits

Because matcha is consumed as a green tea powder, the whole tea leaf is ingested. This organic matcha naturally contains antioxidants, including catechins such as EGCG, as well as amino acids like L-theanine.

The combination of caffeine and L-theanine is known to promote a state of calm, focused energy without the jittery effect associated with coffee. Regular consumption of matcha has been linked to improved attention, reaction time, and a steady energy profile.

Grown & Processed in Uji, Kyoto

Uji is widely recognized as the historic benchmark for Japanese matcha green tea. Tea plants are shaded before harvest, steamed immediately after picking, dried, de-stemmed into tencha, and slowly stone milled to preserve freshness, flavor, and vibrant green color.

Keeping cultivation, processing, and milling within Uji ensures transparency, consistency, and quality control from harvest to finished matcha powder.

Preparation & Storage

Use approximately 2 grams (1 teaspoon) of matcha powder per cup.
Whisk with warm or hot water (around 160–175°F / 70–80°C) until smooth and frothy. Milk can be added for matcha lattes, or cold water used for iced matcha.

To preserve freshness, store matcha in an airtight container away from light, heat, and humidity. Refrigeration after opening helps slow oxidation and maintain color and flavor.

Limited Seasonal Availability

This organic Uji matcha is produced once per year from the first spring harvest. Due to changing weather patterns, labor constraints, and increased global demand, the availability of high-quality organic matcha remains limited.

Once this seasonal lot sells out, it will not be restocked until the next spring harvest.
