Ceremonial Grade Uji Matcha – First Spring Harvest (100 g)
WHY THIS MATCHA IS SPECIAL
Ceremonial Grade Uji Matcha – First Spring Harvest (100 g) stands out for its vibrant green colour and exceptionally smooth, non-bitter flavour. Blending and stone-milling in Uji ensures purity, freshness, and consistency in every pouch.
It is designed for those who want a matcha they can enjoy every day — whether whisked traditionally or added to a creamy latte — without compromising on taste or authenticity.
BLENDED FOR SMOOTH, DAILY DRINKING
By blending several first-spring lots, the tea master ensures the matcha retains its bright green colour and uniquely smooth, non-bitter character year-round. Even if your water temperature or ratios aren’t perfect, this matcha still produces a gentle, delicious cup.
It is versatile enough for both traditional bowls of usucha and modern matcha beverages.
GROWN & STONE-MILLED IN UJI
Uji has been at the heart of Japan’s finest matcha for centuries. For this tea, shaded tencha is grown in the hills around Uji, harvested in the first spring flush, and gently processed to preserve its colour and sweetness.
The dried tencha is then brought to a specialised mill in Uji, where it is blended and ground between traditional stone wheels into an ultra-fine powder. Keeping every step — from field to stone mill — within Uji allows for close quality control and a clear, transparent supply chain. The result is a ceremonial matcha that is naturally smooth, mellow, and free from bitterness, with a vibrant green colour in the bowl.
