This Tenmoku-inspired Japanese chawan (matcha bowl) is handcrafted in Japan from durable stoneware and finished with a deep teal interior glaze. Its wan-nari form — gently widening toward the rim — supports smooth chasen movement and stable whisking, allowing fine foam to develop easily during matcha preparation. The contrast between the luminous interior and subtly textured exterior reflects traditional Japanese ceramic aesthetics while remaining well suited to modern daily use.

Clay & Glaze
